I was sent down to southern California for a few days to cover the passing of Ronald Reagan. I was moved by all the people of all ages and backgrounds who waited hours and hours in line to pay their last respects. In California alone, there were over 100,000 people! Afterwards, I covered the departure ceremony from California to Washington DC. I found Nancy Reagan's quiet strength remarkable. She seemed so fragile and yet so strong. |
