The Raiders went to Detroit to play (or more accurately, roll over and lose to) the nearly winless Detroit Lions. Jerry Porter (above) along with the entire "Raider Nation" are in shock right now. Hard to believe this same team went to the Super Bowl last year.
One nice moment after the game was a reunion for Detroit Lions head coach Steve Mariucci and Raiders wide receiver Jerry Rice. It was the first time they met since their 49er days. I was hoping they'd meet so as soon as the game ended, I sprinted out on the field looking for Mariucci. Found him and stayed with him until he found Rice. Coach had some encouraging words for Jerry. He'll need them because the Raiders seem to be going nowhere fast this season.
