I've worked at the Chronicle for nearly 24 years and yet this was the first time I've covered the annual Chinese New Years Parade in downtown San Francisco. Had so much fun, I can't wait to do it again. Hard to shoot this event and not get fun photos.

This year is the Year of the Monkey and the kid above does his best imitation for me much to the delight of the girl at left. Below, ribbon dancers.
