Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger gave his first State of the State address in the Assembly chambers of the State Capitol in Sacramento. Pretty boring photographically but it's hard to come up with anything different or interesting when you are given no access to him except at the podium. |

A nice moment to witness however was when Arnold introduced his wife, calling her "...the First Lady, my partner, and the love of my life..." Maria Shriver just beamed when he said this. |

But the day wasn't a waste. I showed up early to pick up my credentials and reserve a shooting position so I had lots of time to kill. I wandered the halls of the capitol and came across a gallery of portraits of past California governors. They were all very distinguished, formal portraits as you can see below. |

From left to right, Gov. Ronald Reagan, Gov. George Deukmejian and Gov. Pete Wilson. Anyway, a gallery of all these distinguished looking past governors...and then there was Jerry... |
