Always fun to go see the Nutcracker during the holidays. And here in the San Francisco bay area, there are 19 different productions to choose from.

I was assigned to cover the Oakland Ballet's Nutcracker. We only ran a single photo in the paper (at left) but it was my favorite. I used a slow shutter speed on the camera to get some movement and just kept my fingers crossed because you never know what you'll get. That's part of the fun and mystery in photography.
