Six foot 3 inch Mike Togasau shadows five foot 3 inch San Francisco Supervisor Michael Yaki as they walk through the corridors of city hall enroute to another meeting. Togasau, a junior at McAteer High School participated in the 2nd annual national Groundhog Job Shadow Day hanging out with Yaki.

James Counts of the San Mateo County Mosquito Abatement District walks miles and miles through picklegrass looking for signs of mosquito larvae. He is reflected in one of the stillwater sloughs which are prime hangouts for the mosquito larvae. Photo is actually upside down but I prefer it this way.

Humphrey the whale returned to SF Bay and beached himself in shallow water just south of Candlestick Point. Volunteers spent the day throwing buckets of water on him to keep him cool and hydrated until high tide when Humphrey freed himself.
